So there was a pretty extensive thread a while back over at the TrixBox User Forums that documented getting Cisco SCCP Phones working with TrixBox.
The user that started the thread, and the website that had the document are both long-gone, but thanks to the Internet Wayback Machine, I was able to retrieve it, and post it here for further development.
I’ll be looking into this further over the next few weeks. Perhaps we can take the development of this further?
Man, am I glad to have found your post. I’ve been searching for the last week for information about SCCP used in Asterisk. I’m trying to get this working on a centos v 5 my job only uses SCCP with Cisco and they are not willing to change. Any added information will be useful. Do you still use the SCCP?
I was able to use this article to find a way to convert a 7916EM from SCCP to SIP and load the speed dials in.
Thanks a million Doug, articles on Cisco 79XX and SIP are sparse.
P.S. And it works (less the BLF)
